The Guidance for Places of Worship published by the Government states:
"Communal worship and life events - You can leave home to attend or visit a place of worship for communal worship, a funeral or event related to a death, a burial ground or a remembrance garden, or to attend a wedding ceremony.
You should follow the guidance on the safe use of places of worship and must not mingle with anyone outside of your household or support bubble when attending a place of worship.
Weddings, funerals and religious, belief-based or commemorative events linked to someone’s death are all subject to limits on the numbers that can attend, and weddings and civil ceremonies may only take place in exceptional circumstances.
You must not mingle with anyone outside of your household or support bubble if you do attend a service."
The rules and procedures we have in place to make our Churches safe will remain and we ask everyone coming to church to follow the advice and guidance of the Stewards.
Everyone coming to church must wear a face covering unless they are children under the age of 11 or exempt from doing so for medical reasons. Please ensure that you have a face-covering/mask with you and put it on before entering church.
Alcohol Hand Gel will be available and must be used to sanitise hands on entry and exit.
Communion will be brought to everyone in their place.
Visitors are to remain in their seat at the end of Mass until a Steward advises that they can leave church.
It is especially important that everyone maintains the social distancing rules when arriving at church and leaving. We appreciate that visitors may wish to meet up with friends but in these difficult times, we must ask you to follow the rules and leave church and the grounds promptly under the guidance of the Stewards after Mass.
There will be no Toilet facilities available at either church.
We will continue with the Schedule of Masses we currently have had in place since October and as published in our weekly Parish Bulletin.
