Following the Government’s announcement that Services may now be conducted in churches, Canon Tim is going to say Mass at St Joseph’s on Wednesdays when parishioners can be present. The first Mass will be next Wednesday, 8th July. Church will open at 11am and Mass will start at 11:15am. Church will then close at 12 noon. Care will need to be taken when arriving and leaving church as it is likely that there will be a greater concentration of people arriving and departing at the same time. Social Distancing at 2M will remain a requirement so please keep your distance from others as you approach and leave, and listen to the guidance given by the Stewards.
In order to comply with Government Regulations we will need you to provide your name and contact telephone number on entry. The Stewards will direct you to a seat. Communion will be available but you will be asked to wait until guided by a Steward to approach the Priest. When Mass ends we ask that you leave the church, maintaining the 2M Social Distance, so that we can close at 12 noon.
You will appreciate that there may be more parishioners coming to church than there are seats available. If the church is full when you arrive, then we will not be able to allow you to enter. It is with regret that we will have to do that but please respect the instruction of the Stewards which is done to protect the health and welfare of others.
