ST JOSEPH’S - Entrance and Exit is by the door at the end of the footbridge next to the school.
ST MICHAEL’S - Entrance and Exit is through the main doors at the front.
ATTENDING MASS FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY
With effect from Monday 26th July Stewards will no longer be in attendance at Masses at St Joseph’s or St Michael’s.
Everyone attending those Masses are asked to:
Note: The toilet at St Michael’s will not be available on weekdays.
ATTENDING MASS ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
We expect that more visitors will attend Mass at the weekend than from Monday to Friday and so Stewards will be in attendance to welcome you to church and provide guidance as necessary to make visitors to church feel safe.
In addition to adherence to the guidelines set out for attendance from Monday to Friday, everyone attending those Masses are asked to:
The Toilet at St Michael's is now available on Saturday and Sunday.
In order to ensure that it is safe to use, there are a few points we need to draw to visitors attention:-
We are sorry that we have to set out ‘rules’ for use of the toilet but our primary concern is always to protect everyone in the Church from transmission of the Virus, so we have to set out the steps that have to be taken to minimise the risk.
There will be no Toilet facilities available at St Joseph’s.
In the porch of each of our Churches there are now posters with a QR code which those who have downloaded the NHS COVID-19 App can use to scan and check in.
Even if you check in with the App & QR Code we still ask you to provide name and contact details. This record is held securely for 21 days to assist with the NHS Test & Trace System.
Everyone coming to church must wear a face covering unless they are children under the age of 11 or exempt from doing so for medical reasons.
Please ensure that you have a face-covering/mask with you and to put it on before you enter church.
This is for the good of all who gather in the Church as it is an enclosed public space where there are people from differing households who they do not normally meet.
The new seating arrangement at St Joseph's is now in place. Each seat for use is labelled with its letter and number e.g A1, A2. Those seats not to be used to ensure the 1M distancing is maintained have "Please Do No Sit Here Signs" on them.
Kneelers cannot be used as they would bring the person kneeling too close to the person in front.
The layout for the benches down the centre has been changed from the original plan with the left hand side (when facing the Altar) now accomodating 2 individuals or a Household Group and the right hand side now with the 1M spacing marked off and only 1 seat available.
Please follow the advice of the Stewards as we get used to this new arrangement.
